The New Year's Ohana Festival, a day of Japanese entertainment, arts and cuisine celebrating its 27th year, will be held Jan. 12.
The Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii and Moiliili Field host the event featuring Japanese music and dance on two stages, food booths, children's games, kimono dressing, a craft and specialty items fair, cultural displays and demonstrations. There is also free admission to Okage Sama De (the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii's historical gallery).
The 2020 New Year's Ohana Festival celebrates the year of the rat and runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
