The fourth installment of the Poipu Food and Wine Festival, a benefit for the Kauai Community College's Culinary Arts Program, is scheduled for Nov. 6 to 9.

The event includes a chef demonstration, farmers market and hands-on cooking classes. For the first time in the festival's history, there will also be a gala event showcasing top Garden Isle chefs working alongside budding culinary talent. The Nov. 9 evening event also includes live entertainment, wine pairings and a silent auction.

Talent from Merriman's Fish House, Monkeypod Jam, Eating House 1849, Lappert's Ice Cream and Coffee and many other Kauai restaurants will be participating during the festival.

The gala and cooking classes are ticketed events, while some cooking demonstrations, the market and other events are free. For a schedule, tickets and additional information, visit the festival website.
