Capitalizing on its affiliate airline's new Hawaii routes, Southwest Vacations launched a promotion Aug. 27 targeting travel advisors.

Eight additional Hawaii routes were announced on Aug.15, including daily service between Sacramento and Honolulu starting in mid-January 2020 and new nonstop service between both Oakland and San Jose, Calif. and Kauai's Lihue AQirport and the Island of Hawaii. Southwest Airlines had never run a trans-Pacific route prior to entering the Aloha State market in March, and the recent additions bring the total to 18 Hawaii flights each day between three California cities.

Southwest Vacations' Plan Ahead and Save sale offers an additional discount of $150 per reservation when booking a flight and hotel package of $2,000 or more, in addition to reduced rates and other offers at certain Hawaii properties, including Koa Kea Hotel & Resort, Waipouli Beach Resort and Spa Kauai by Outrigger, and Kauai Shores Hotel.

"Travel advisors' response to Southwest's Hawaii service has been huge and they are eager to capitalize on these newly announced flights," Southwest Vacations marketing director Andrew Hendricks said in a statement. "We're supporting these expanded routes with 'Plan Ahead and Save' to ensure our agent partners can provide their clients with the most bang for their Hawaii buck with the most competitive rates and offers available."

The promotion is subject to date and other limitations. Visit SouthwestVacations.com for more information.
