Serena Hotels has opened a hotel in Goma, the capital of North Kivu province in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Goma Serena Hotel is located at the lakefront of Lake Kivu in the heart of the city, offering easy access to a number of attractions, such as Virunga National Park, Kahuzi-Biega National Park and Mount Nyiragongo, an active volcano. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Goma Airport and a five-minute drive from the Rwanda border.
The 109-room hotel offers several restaurants as well as conference facilities, a spa, a gym, a swimming pool and a nightclub. Every room is decorated with local Congolese art, and each room features a Jacuzzi, a rainfall showerhead and a private balcony with a view of Lake Kivu.
