South African
Airways (SAA) has announced new low fares to select destinations throughout
Africa for the spring and late-summer travel seasons. Sale fares start at $939 roundtrip from
Washington Dulles Airport to Accra, Ghana, and from New York JFK to Johannesburg,
starting at $1,149 roundtrip. Fares are
available for purchase through March 31 for travel from April 1 to May 31 and
Aug. 11 to Sept. 12; restrictions apply.
Flyers will
benefit from having a single ticket combining JetBlue and SAA-operated flights
as well as the conveniences of one-stop check-in and baggage transfer.
JetBlue’s TrueBlue members have the opportunity to earn TrueBlue points on
SAA’s entire global network.
The airline also
has launched a codeshare agreement with JetBlue Airways on flights between
Washington Dulles and Accra, Ghana.
Marc Cavaliere, executive
vice president, the Americas for South African Airways, said: “The new codeshare
flights on the Washington-Accra route is further expansion to the successful
codeshare services that SAA and JetBlue previously introduced to Johannesburg,
Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and East London in South Africa and Dakar,
Senegal, in West Africa.”
