Lennox Hotels has opened its first property in the U.S., and its first outside of Argentina.
The luxury, boutique Lennox Hotel Miami Beach is located in what originally was the Peter Miller Hotel; the property, which opened in 1936, received a $71 million renovation. The project preserved the building's original art deco exterior as much as possible, while bringing the lobby, common areas and guestrooms into the 21st century with architecture and design by Argentinean interior designer Juan Ciavarella. The interiors feature recycled, green and internationally procured furnishings and decor.
The hotel comprises four interconnected art deco buildings with a Mediterranean-style courtyard in the center and is situated on Miami Beach's main thoroughfare, Collins Avenue. The hotel contains 119 guestrooms starting at $230 per night.
The Lennox Hotel Miami Beach features a swimming pool and pool bar in the courtyard area that serves cocktails and small plates. A signature restaurant and lobby bar are forthcoming, serving contemporary cuisine throughout the day.
The Miami Beach property is the third in Lennox's collection of hotels. The others are located in the Argentinian cities of Buenos Aires and Ushuaia.
