American Airlines has begun a codeshare partnership with
fellow Oneworld alliance member Royal Air Maroc.
Codeshare itineraries on Royal Air Maroc flights between
Casablanca and Boston, Miami, New York JFK and Washington Dulles are now on
sale for travel beginning Dec. 26. American will also put its code on Royal Air
Maroc flights beyond Casablanca to Marrakech beginning Dec. 26.
Early next year, the codeshare will expand to include Royal
Air Maroc service from Casablanca to Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Accra, Ghana; Lagos,
Nigeria; Luanda, Angola; and Monrovia, Liberia.
Stateside, Royal Air Maroc will put its code on flights from
New York to Dallas/Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Charlotte
and Raleigh-Durham, N.C., beginning Dec. 26.
Next summer, American will fly thrice weekly between
Philadelphia and Casablanca.
