Air Canada on May 1 launched free WiFi for its Aeroplan loyalty members.

The service, sponsored by Bell, currently is available gate-to-gate on Air Canada, Rouge and Express flights in North America, Mexico and the Caribbean operated with Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft.

Certification and WiFi installation on Bombardier Q400 aircraft operating at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is anticipated for later this year, according to Air Canada. The carrier expects to expand free WiFi for Aeroplan members to intercontinental flights in 2026.

Air Canada announced its free WiFi plan in December 2024.
