American Airlines has announced three new European destinations for next summer, all from its Philadelphia hub.

The carrier will also begin a new Europe route from Dallas/Fort Worth and resume Venice service from Chicago.

Seasonal daily service between Philadelphia and Nice, France, will begin May 6. Daily seasonal Philadelphia-Naples flights will launch June 5 and Philadelphia-Copenhagen on June 6.

American will fly a Boeing 787 Dreamliner on all three routes. No other airlines currently serve those destinations from Philadelphia.

American will also be the lone carrier serving Dallas-Barcelona next summer. The carrier will launch the daily seasonal route on June 5 using a Boeing 777. Dallas will be American's fifth summer gateway to Barcelona, joining Miami, New York, Chicago and Philadelphia.

For the first time since summer 2019, American will operate Chicago-Venice service, starting June 5 . The airline will utilize a Boeing 787 for the daily seasonal route. American will be the only airline connecting Chicago and Venice nonstop. Chicago will join Philadelphia as an American Airlines gateway to Venice.

Tickets for all new routes will go on sale on Aug. 20.

The new and resumed routes are part of American's broader expansion plans for Europe next year. The carrier is moving from seasonal service to year-round on Charlotte-Madrid, Philadelphia-Lisbon, Dallas-Dublin, Philadelphia-Barcelona and Dallas-Rome.
