Delta has begun selling Comfort Plus fares on flights to Asia and Latin America, available for flights
beginning Sept. 19.
Comfort Plus passengers get more
legroom than economy passengers as well as reserved overhead bins,
complimentary alcoholic beverages and priority boarding.
The product is different from a true premium economy section, which are in a separate cabin than economy
seats. Delta announced earlier this month that it will introduce premium economy cabins in mid-2017 when it takes delivery of its first Airbus 350.
Comfort Plus fares can now be
purchased on flights from the U.S. and Canada to Latin America and the
Caribbean except for Peru, Chile, Brazil and Argentina. They are also available
on Delta flights from the U.S. and Canada to the Asia-Pacific region except China,
Hong Kong and Taiwan as well as on flights between Asia-Pacific markets and
within Latin American and Caribbean markets.
Delta began selling Comfort Plus fares
within the U.S. and Canada last November.
