Israel's El Al Airlines will resume flights to Miami later this year for the first time since leaving the market in 2008, the carrier announced Wednesday.

The resumption of service between Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport and Miami will give El Al five U.S. destinations. The Israeli carrier also flies from Tel Aviv to New York Kennedy, Newark, Boston and Los Angeles.

The flight will be offered three times per week on Boeing 777-200 aircraft. El Al will be the lone carrier on the Miami-Tel Aviv route. Tickets will go on sale in mid-May, and the flight will commence in November.
