United will end operations at Paine Field, in the northern portion of the Seattle metroplex, effective Oct. 5.

The carrier is currently only flying to Paine Field from Denver. Prior to the pandemic United also flew Paine Field-San Francisco.

Commercial flights at the airport commenced in March 2019

In a statement, United said that it will continue to fly to Sea-Tac Airport, 38 miles south of Paine Field, from its hubs in Denver, Newark, Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington and San Francisco.

The carrier noted that it continues to adapt its network based upon demand trends.

Paine Field will continue to be served by Alaska Airlines, which flies daily out of the airport to Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco and Orange County.
