European midscale brand B&B Hotels is making its U.S. debut in Orlando.
Located on International Drive, roughly two miles from Universal Studios Florida, the 218-room property is a takeover of the Floridian Express motel. The property will undergo a comprehensive renovation, according to B&B Hotels.
Valerio Duchini, U.S. CEO of B&B Hotels, called the Orlando flag "just the beginning."
"We are eager to replicate our success in Europe and become a leading player in the U.S. market, with plans for expansion in Miami and Jacksonville," said Duchini.
The B&B brand, launched in France in 1990, has scaled rapidly in recent years. The flag currently has more than 770 hotels across 17 countries and says it plans to reach 3,000 hotels within the next decade.
