Mandarin Oriental announced plans for a luxury hotel in Seoul, scheduled to open in 2030 in the Korean city's Central Business District.

The 128-room hotel will "offer an intimate and residential atmosphere, drawing on the character of a curated private club," Mandarin Oriental said. Designer André Fu has been appointed to create the interiors, "blending understated elegance with design elements that capture the essence of destination."

One of the hotel's restaurants will "echo the spirit" of SOMM, a sommelier-led casual restaurant at Mandarin Oriental's The Landmark in Hong Kong. Another will specialize in refined Chinese cuisine. A high-end Korean chef's counter will offer an "immersive and theatrical dining experience," Mandarin Oriental said.

On the ground floor, a bar, a lounge, and the Mandarin Cake Shop will serve as meet-up locations.

The destination spa will span four floors and feature a 25-meter swimming pool, a fitness center and a private outdoor terrace to rest and unwind.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental will be a "serene sanctuary with a deep connection to nature," said Mandarin Oriental. The spa's core themes will be traditional healing, Korean beauty products, spa bath innovation, mind reset and body performance.

The hotel also will have golf academy with multiple simulators, a sports court, a game room and a kids' club.
