Starting room rates have been announced for the 126-room Park Hyatt St. Kitts, slated to open this summer on Banana Bay on the southeastern peninsula of St. Kitts.

Rates in September and October start at $380 per room, per night, double. High season rates start at $900 per night. Taxes and service charges are extra.

The resort, set within the Christophe Harbour residential development and marina complex, features contemporary architecture and a colonial feel with local art throughout.

Several of the 78 guest rooms and 48 suites will feature private rooftop pools. The three-bedroom Presidential Villa comes complete with private chef and butler service.

The hotel will be Park Hyatt's first venture in the Caribbean.
