Panama's Portobelo National Park is now home to the Ordovician Beach Resort, a new 47-room luxury property on Isla Grande.

The project is a $31.5 million revamp of the former Bananas Village Resort. The resort is now home to overwater bungalows and an on-site helipad.

The Ordovician features three dining concepts: The Shell Bistro for all-day dining, El Acuario for fusion cuisine and Rick's Cafe Americain, billed as an overwater tapas bar. The resort says more than 90% of its produce is sourced from an on-site organic garden.

Additionally, the resort touts private beach access; activity options like snorkeling, wildlife encounters and offshore sport fishing; and wellness amenities that include cryotherapy, an overwater yoga studio, a sauna and a spa.

The property plans to open a private dive center in September.
