Hyatt Hotels Corp. said two neighboring all-inclusives in the Dominican Republic will open this summer: the Secrets Playa Esmeralda and Dreams Playa Esmeralda.
Both all-inclusives are located along the D.R.'s northeastern coast.
The 500-room Secrets Playa Esmeralda will offer accommodations with private balconies or terraces as well as access to six bars and ten dining venues offering a mix of cuisines, including French, Mediterranean and Dominican. The adults-only property will have a spa with 12 treatment rooms, hydrotherapy facilities and a beauty salon.

The adjacent Dreams Playa Esmeralda will house 500 guestrooms as well as three swimming pools, an on-site waterpark and Explorer’s Club and Core Zone with programming designed for children and teenagers.
The Dreams will be home to nine restaurants serving a mix of cuisines, including Italian, Asian and Dominican specialties. The resort will have seven bars.
The two resorts will join 15 Dominican all-inclusives in Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection. The resorts will be Hyatt's first in the Playa Esmeralda area.
Located within the D.R.'s Miches region, Playa Esmeralda has attracted significant upscale resort investment in recent years, with other high-profile properties like the Zemi Miches, Marriott Miches Beach and Four Seasons Tropicalia either open or currently under development.
Correction: A previous version of this report had an incorrect opening date for one of the resorts.
