CheapCaribbean.com extended its 15%
commission structure through December. The 15% level was launched
in January, prompting the participation and bookings of more than
3,000 new agents to CheapCaribbean.com's roster.
In fact, agents now
account for more than 5% of all of CheapCaribbean.com's sales to
Bermuda, the Caribbean and Mexico since the firm's launch in early
2006.
"I've been excited
and overwhelmed by the response from the travel agent community,"
said Jim Hobbs, president and founder. "I knew agents would enjoy
our highly competitive pricing and the inclusion of items like
TravelGuard travel insurance and roundtrip ground transfers in
every reservation at no additional cost to the client."
Hobbs' goal is to
have more than 10,000 agents registered by the end of the year.
"Let's keep this party going," Hobbs said.
CheapCaribbean.com,
which is headquartered in Doylestown, Pa., uses its Boston office
strictly for travel agent bookings. The office is serviced by a
trained support staff totally dedicated to servicing the retail
agent.
"There is no reason
why CheapCaribbean.com shouldn't be the leader in travel agent
bookings to the destinations we serve. It is simply a natural
progression of people wanting the best price online at a specialty
store which handles only their type of vacation, matched with
incredible customer service," Hobbs said.
The firm pays
commission on the entire reservation, and not just on the land
portion of the transaction. For details, visit www.cheapcaribbean.com.
