PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Collette Tours is working with a new U.K. coach
operator, Wallace Arnold, which replaces its previous partner,
Shearings Holidays.
Collette Tours and Wallace Arnold plan to market Collette's U.S.
domestic, Canada, Australia, East Asia and South America escorted
programs in the U.K. with a brochure for 1999 products at the end
of the year.
The new partnership coincides with Collette's expansion in the
international market. The company, which added sales staff in the
U.K. this year, will open a London office this fall.
Daniel Sullivan, Collette president, said the two companies have
similar product lines and approaches to marketing inclusive travel
packages that offer meals and sightseeing targeting higher-end,
"value- minded" travelers.
