Journeysmiths has hired Joanna Hussey as head of Latin America to oversee the company's product expansion as travel demand for the region continues to grow.
Hussey will be responsible for developing private luxury and wildlife experiences in Latin America for the U.K.-based custom travel tour operator.
"As we look ahead at the second half of 2023, our goal is to launch Belize, Bolivia, Guatemala, Mexico and Panama at the request of clients who are eager to explore South and Central America on a more intimate level," said Laura Burdett-Munns, managing director of Journeysmiths.
Prior to her new role, Hussey worked as a Latin America senior specialist for Audley Travel and helped launch the tour operator's first office outside of the U.K. in Boston.
