The parent company of Amtrak Vacations has changed its name. Yankee Leisure Group is now Railbookers Group.

The company said it wanted a name that better reflects its services.

"From an overnight rail experience, a multi-city/national parks trip or a post-river cruise rail extension, more and more travel advisors and consumers are selecting rail as a part of their overall vacation experience," said CEO Frank Marini. "We felt this was the right time to establish a clearer brand name which tells the story of exactly what we do as the largest independent rail provider worldwide."

Railbookers Group is the parent company of Amtrak Vacations, the national tour operator for Amtrak; Europe rail vacation specialist Railbookers, which was acquired in 2016; and Yankee Holidays, a tour operator specializing in the U.S. and Canada.
