Prince Waikiki Resort has promoted Joseph Almoguera to the post of executive chef.
Almoguera has been with the hotel since 2013 and most recently served as the chef de cuisine for the resort's 100 Sails Restaurant and Bar. Now, Almoguera will supervise all kitchen operations for the hotel's three restaurants.

Almoguera helped lead the opening of 100 Sails in 2016 and previously worked in kitchens positions at the Fairmont Orchid, Hilton Waikoloa Village and Waikoloa Beach Marriott, where he served for six years as executive sous chef. Born and raised in Guam, Almoguera came to Hawaii Island in 1999 and moved to Oahu in 2008.
"We are very lucky to have someone as talented as Joseph on our team," Charles Abbott, general manager of the Prince Waikiki, said in a statement. "His impressive track record reflects someone who is a tremendous asset to our culinary culture. We look forward to sharing his talent with our guests for many years to come."
The 563-room property formerly known as the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and Golf Club completed a $55.4 million renovation last year and rebranded to Prince Waikiki Resort.
