The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua announced Kevin J. Peterson will take the post as hotel manager for the luxury resort.
Peterson most recently worked in management of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Resort, but this is not his first stint in Hawaii. Peterson grew up in the hospitality industry, helping out with his family's river rafting business in Vail, Colo., as a child. After college he worked at the Grand Wailea Resort as director of food and beverage for more than seven years. He has also previously worked at the Hilton Anaheim and Towers, and Sandy Lane Hotel and Spa among other properties.
As manager, Peterson will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the Ritz-Carlton resort on Maui's north shore.
