Consulting -- has acquired sustainable tourism services and consulting firm
Beyond Green Travel.
Helmed by ecotourism pioneer Costas Christ, Beyond Green
Travel has developed content and sustainability strategies for travel and hospitality
companies for around 30 years, working with brands like Fairmont Hotels and
Resorts, The Travel Corporation, Wilderness Safaris and National Geographic
Travel. The company also advises destinations and governments on the
implementation of sustainable tourism practices.
Under the Preferred Hotel umbrella, Beyond Green Travel will
work in tandem with PHG Consulting, Preferred’s global travel and tourism
marketing and consulting agency.
Additionally, Beyond Green Travel will serve as a resource for
Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Historic Hotels of America and Historic Hotels
Worldwide member hotels, helping properties to further their sustainability
initiatives, establish community projects and partnerships and conduct
sustainability audits, among other efforts.
Beyond Green Travel will also have involvement with
Preferred’s corporate social responsibility program.
