The Globus family of brands is prohibiting anyone who has
traveled through mainland China in the last three weeks from joining any of its
tours, cruises or packaged vacations.
The company said it has also canceled all trips with a China
component through the end of March.
Globus said the new policy banning travelers who have been
in China within 21 days of their scheduled departure was being instituted “as
an added precaution for the health and safety of all of our guests” as the
coronavirus spreads.
The policy is in effect through March 31.
Likewise, the company said that its Globus, Cosmos and
Monograms brands were proactively suspending the operation of China itineraries
-- and vacations that include stops in China -- through March 31.
Globus also operates Avalon Waterways river cruises.
Last week, CLIA announced that its member cruise lines would
deny boarding to passengers or crew who have traveled from or through China
within the previous 14 days.
