ASTA has partnered with Tourism Cares on a new course, "Sustainability and Meaningful Travel for Advisors."
The digital course is available to members for free during April in honor of Earth Month, ASTA said.
It offers a beginner-level introduction to sustainable travel with three videos presented by Tourism Cares, touching on the foundations of sustainable travel as well as the business case for selling sustainable travel.
"Travel advisors play a vital role in shaping the future of travel, and their influence can drive meaningful impact for destinations and communities worldwide," Tourism Cares CEO Greg Takehara said.
The course can be applied to ASTA's continuing education requirement for maintaining Verified Travel Advisor certification.
