We hear that The Dorchester in London will debut its new Royal Suite on June 1.
The grand reveal will mark the wrap-up of the hotel’s guestroom renovations, considered a significant project for the flagship of the Dorchester Collection, which currently comprises 10 hotels, including Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris, the Hotel Eden in Rome and the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.
The Royal Suite, on the eighth floor, overlooks Hyde Park. Its configuration allows for up to four rooms to be connected, creating a combined space of more than 5,150 square feet, making it one of the largest suites on London’s competitive luxury hotel scene.
What we love: The primary bedroom has a large dressing area and a marble-clad bathroom including a double shower. Other luxe touches include a fireplace in the principal sitting room and a dining room for up to 10; it overlooks the park as well. The suite has a separate study.
The suite was designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, who was tasked with the major renovation of The Dorchester’s Promenade, Artists’ Bar, public areas, guest rooms, and suites.
