We’re all abuzz about the fact that W Sardinia – Poltu Quatu has officially opened, following a soft debut in 2025.
W Sardinia – Poltu Quatu is set along Sardinia’s northeast coast, between Porto Cervo and Baia Sardinia, overlooking the Marina dell’Orso in the village of Poltu Quatu – meaning ‘hidden port’ in the island’s ancient language.
Good to know: The hotel has a partnership with Fjord 41 XL speedboats that allows guests to sail all around Sardinia’s coastline, which is dotted with private coves and swimming spots. Day trips can also include a visit to the island of Caprera, which is sparsely populated and known for its marine life, thanks to strong environmental protection efforts.
The hotel has 157 guestrooms and suites, a marina-front seafood restaurant, an Away Spa, and a gym.
Luxury Tip: The W has two Penthouse Suites with outdoor terraces that have private pools; they each have full kitchens and bars (party anyone?).
When things get quiet, guests can head over to the W Lounge and the Wet Deck pool terrace. Management means to keep things happening continuously in the public spaces, with local artisans stopping in by day to show off their wares and live music and cocktails taking over at night.
