2018 Developments

Announced a collaboration with American Express, including the launch of The Travel Collection by Travel Leaders Group, an exclusive benefit for Gold Card members, and the opportunity for agents to redeem membership rewards points and a receive a card referral bonus.

Acquired Barrhead Travel Group of Scotland, one of the largest retail travel companies in the U.K., and in 2019 purchased Your Event Solutions, a U.K.-based event services company.

Named J.D. O'Hara president of Travel Leaders Group, Becky Powell president of Protravel International, Cindy Schlansky and Monty Swaney co-presidents of Tzell Travel Group, Jacqueline Dobson president of Barrhead Travel, Michele Capaccio COO of Protravel International and Brett Cumberland managing director of R. Crusoe & Son and Andrew Harper Travel.

Relocated its corporate headquarters to midtown Manhattan, an office that also serves as headquarters for Tzell Travel, Protravel International and Travel Leaders Corporate.

Travel Leaders Corporate launched Business Travel Insights, a data and analytics tool; Care, a duty-of-care product; and Connect, an upgraded version of its SMS-based travel tool. Nexion Travel Group introduced a scholarship program for military veterans covering the full cost of tuition for training to become an independent travel consultant.

Expanding Select Hotels & Resorts program to include 1,200 hotels with individual websites as well as a special in-country partners program titled Select Experiences that provides custom itineraries.
