2018 Developments

In February, moved to new headquarters after more than 32 years at previous location and more than two years of preparation for the move. Merged its Greenwich, Conn., team and New Canaan, Conn., office into a new office location in downtown New Canaan and relocated its Palo Alto, Calif., office to Menlo Park, Calif., and rebranded it VWT Silicon Valley. Also moved its Ponte Vedra, Fla., office to a new location in Ponte Vedra.

Launched VWT 2.0, a 2018-2020 strategic plan, which includes such goals and priorities as a focus on improving overall revenue, building client retention, onboarding new clients in all sectors and hiring new employees and signing new associates. Each department has developed key performance indicators, and VWT has added executives Pat Fragale and Tiffany Woodard.

Added nine associates and 22 employees in 2018.

Expanded Suite Access, a VWT value-add and recognition program targeted to suite guests, to over 200 participating hotels in 100 countries. Generated more than $4.3 million in new suite sales to its bottom line from this program.

Honed a tiered client-engagement program for corporate clients, with options including high-touch service, leveraging its Concur reseller license and use of duty-of-care products and tailored reporting dashboard tools.

Enhanced the VWT Power of Access Commission Program, a tiered commission structure with value-adds, including supplier support, marketing and travel and training benefits. Enhanced Privy (Personal Recommendation Index from VWT for You), an initiative for internally sharing insider tips, travel inspirations and ideas.

Launched VWT Insider Access Events in December, a monthly program in which value-added amenities for clients and financial incentives for clients, advisors and associates are offered for a cruise line, including a moderated Q&A with a cruise line and a VWT executive to give access to information at a higher level and functional training platforms to better understand the product.
